Renowned TikToker Elyse Myers talked with E! Entertainment about how she decided to create content on her social media not only to make people laugh, but also make people aware of the importance of mental health, for the sake of the Mental Health Awareness Month Commemoration.
For her, recounting her personal experiences in public, such as the teasing she received as a child, allows her to feel better. That is why she invites everyone to talk about mental health, a topic as common as the weather or food. Myers also invited us all not to be afraid or stigmatize the brave who dare to mention how their emotional well-being is.
“It’s not weird,” she said. “You shouldn’t feel ashamed of how you’re feeling.”Elyse Myers
