911 calls for mental health
In order to serve people with mental health problems who call 911 more efficiently, a special program has been created in Washington D.C.
The decision was made after observing that 3% of the calls received are from people with such conditions, which drew the attention of experts concerned with providing timely attention and respond properly to their requests.
“We really believe and we know that this is the best thing for the people of the District, and that’s really what this is about”.
