Schools in D.C. will have a Mental Health Clinician

Last Monday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that $27 million would be set aside to put a mental health professional in every public and charter school of the city. This, with the purpose of improving mental health in minors who have also been affected during the pandemic and have presented behaviors such as stress, anger, anxiety, and depression.

The mayor’s formula requires another 93 clinicians in schools
