Founded in 1981, CARECEN was established to support refugees fleeing violence and strife in Central America. Today, it continues its mission to foster the comprehensive development and integration of the Latino population through direct services, including immigration legal support, citizenship education and housing counseling, while promoting grassroots empowerment.

YWCA National Capital Area is a dedicated community partner committed to eliminating racism and empowering women and families across Washington, D.C. Through high-impact programs, their core service categories include Youth Education & Leadership, Economic Empowerment & Job Training, and Social Justice & Advocacy.
