Mental Health is No Longer a Benefits, it’s the New Standard for Corporate Leadership.

According to the APA’s 2026 survey, a striking 77% of psychologist report that patients are turning to artificial intelligence and chatbots for emotional support, self-diagnosis, and companionship- While 68% of therapists note that patients feel validated or supported by AI, several clinical risks remain. Psychologists want about the “sycophancy trap”, where highly agreeable chatbots inadvertency reinforce maladaptive thoughts, cognitive distortions, or avoidant behaviors. Additionally, there are rising concerns over data privacy, a lack of crisis-reporting guardrails, and an 89% fear among professionals, that AI could encourage self-harm during an unaddressed mental health crisis.

While 54% of psychologists feel comfortable with AI when used as a supplemental tool for therapeutic exercises or organizing thoughts, 94% completely distrust tech companies with private mental health data-

“AI is not an accurate way to diagnose mental health or medical conditions. AI is known to mistake routine difficulties and problems for mental health symptoms and may offer misleading or inaccurate diagnoses or treatment options.”
