Mental Health is No Longer a Benefits, it’s the New Standard for Corporate Leadership.
For years, companies treated employee mental health as a secondary benefit managed by HR. Today, that era is over. Mental health directly impacts how people lead, collaborate, and perform, making it a core business priority. Low employee engagement and burnout cost the global economy around $8.9 trillion in lost productivity annually.
To tackle this, forward-thinking organizations are moving away from generic wellness programs and taking intentional action. For example, Ameriprise Bank recently partnered with mental health nonprofits to launch a successful “Mental Health Mondays” series.
“The series was not framed as a one-time initiative or a talking point for leadership. It reflected a broader understanding that supporting people is everyone’s job— executives, managers, and peers.”
